Proper foot care is
essential to healthy feet. It should be as much a part of your
daily routine as washing your face or brushing your teeth. Along
with
your eyes and hands, your feet do more work than most parts of the body.
Our feet help us keep
balanced, and carry us the equivalent of five times around the earth in
an average lifetime. In return, we rarely give them the attention they
deserve, hiding them away in shoes and forgetting about them . . . until
they rebel.
Our feet are mirrors of our general health. Signs of
diabetes, arthritis, circulatory and neurological
diseases usually appear first in the feet. So, if you haven’t been
caring for your feet, start now -- it's not too late. It only requires a
few minutes each day.
Following is a
suggested foot care routine:
-
Start by
soaking your feet in warm water for about five minutes. You may
do this in your bath or in a separate tub using the Aularale Bath and
Shower Gel.
-
Use the
Aularale Body Buffing Cream to gently remove the outer layer of dead
skin.
-
If you have
calluses or ha5rd spots, use a pumice stone to soften and remove
while the feet are still wet.
-
Pat your feet dry. Then massage
with a liberal amount of the Aularale Therapeutic Foot Cream
Some other
tips for taking care of the feet:
-
Dry feet
well, especially between your toes.
-
Check daily
for cuts, bruises, blisters, redness, and swelling. Dryness and cracks
in your skin allow bacteria to grow, increasing the risk of infection.
Seek professional help for problems.
-
NEVER use
sharp scissors or razors on or near your feet!
-
Don’t Smoke!
Smoking constricts blood vessels, which will cause poor circulation to
your feet.
-
Wear shoes
that fit well!
-
Shake your
shoes before putting them on. A small pebble can lead to problems.
At the end of this beauty regimen, elevate your feet — they work all
day.
Give
them a rest! |
